To begin designing the app, I started to compile visual inspiration. Ultimately, I created two divergent moodboards, and pulled elements from both to inform the final brand direction.


This concept takes inspiration from fitness brands such as Nike and Gatorade, their use of vibrant color and action photography. While a more traditional approach to visualising fitness, this concept the has opportunity to play with color, type, and photography to create an overall energizing brand identity with the ability to appeal to a wide audience.


This concept takes inspiration from self-help apps and is more wellness-oriented. I wanted to explore this direction because of its holistic and inclusive approach to fitness, that relied on abstracted illustrative elements over fitness photography. Further, I felt that a more easy-going color palette would be encouraging rather than jarring for the physically compromised population of our demographic.
